wow....I haven't done this in a while. I hate school!! I've been doing nothing but nonstop work in all my fucking classes. wanna see what kinda shit I have to deal with?
1st class photography:
this week we had to shoot off, develope and make prints of an entire roll of black and white film and hand it in for monday.
point 1 - each pic takes about a minute or two to get everything to focus and make sure you have the proper lighting etc.
point 2 - it takes an hour to develope, only develope not print, a roll of film
point 3 - the fucking grade 10's screwed up the chemicals in the photo lab ruining my first film so i had to do the project twice
point 4 - to print photo's it takes abot 10-15 minutes per photo times 36 exposures and a test strip AND a contact sheet. You do the math.
point 5 - Again with the grade 10's and the chemical screwups, ruining my first 5 prints and my contact sheet
2nd class Writers Craft:
We had to make a pamphlet with step by step instructions on how to do something, a big pamphlet, with pictures and witty little anicdotes in every step. The we had to get it peer edited and do the whole thing all over again.
3rd class Classical Civilizations
Now this one is actually kinda funny. Correction, no it's not. We had a group project due on 3 of the greek gods, the gods were assigned for each group with Mr Kerr writing down who had what. Mr Kerr gave 2 groups the same project, guess who the lucky group was that had to switch? After we were finished everything and had our report typed up of course!
4th class English
This class is actually pretty good, I got Mr Gellert as a teacher and he's actually a great teacher, it's just that recently I've had all this work accumulate in all my classes and on top of this we had to write 3 1000 word essays this week on subjects that I don't give a shit about
The end result of all this is I have been working on the computer for the past week straight without any kind of break or anything, I'm running on gobs of caffine and about 3 hours of sleep per day and I just got sick yesterday to top it all off.
conclusion: this has been a bad week
solution: God i need alcohol..........
Anyway, other than school killing me through exaustion it's actually been a pretty good week. My dad won a big Ontario award and we get to go to this fancy banquet thing, urgh, this means I'll probably have to wear a dress....crap. We have floors in my house again after 3 weeks of walking on plywood put over the bare beams while our house gets redone, and best of all, our oven works again!! No more living off fast food! We get real food now that tastes like sawdust and plastic, but I'm not bitter, noooooo not at allllll!!!
