Okay, So I finally got back to the internet, and it's not even at a cafe!! It's at the Science museum in Manchester!!
We stayed in Buxton for three nights in this little ranger cottage in the middle of the country. Literally in the middle of nowhere. Me and 4 of the other girls slept in the loft of what used to be the barn that was attached to the cottage, it was all brick and modernised so we had electricity and stuff, but it was still very isolated nontheless. There were soooo many sheep there too, and COWS!! We went to Soloman heights when we forst got there, ehich is this old watchtower on the top of a hill that overlooks all of the town, there were COWS inside the damn watchtower when we got there, and they came right up to us to be petted.
The cottage was quite the experiencve in itself though. We woke up to the neighborhood cows LICKING the windows and mooing at us, rather unique way to wake up that....
On our second day in Buxton we visited all the little surrounding towns: Harrington, which is famous for its cheese, Bakewell, which is famous for it's little market, very cool, got the complete works of Shakespeare for only £5. We were then SUPPOSED to go to this little village called Eym, it's a village that was completely wiped out by the plaugue but the town itself survived, but on the way we got lost and went to Chatsworth instead. Chatsworth belongs to a duke and is around a few THOUSAND acres of farmland and sheepfields. There's this little river where we sat to have lunch and about 30 ducks came up out of the river a\nd started pecking at us. There were also the little fluffy ducklings which were SOOOO damn cute!!!
The next day was spent visiting Buxton itself, I got sick and had to stay home, but the girls bought me a gorgeous bloodstone as a get well present, I love it as it's my birthstone and it's really pretty!!!
We spent the night at the cottage visiting the local guides of Buxton, I met the girl I stayed with last time I came to Buxton and we found out we STILL had the same taste in just about everything, it was cool.
Our last night here Laura decided to do this raindance, it was hilarious!!! Imagine the Carlton dance from fresh prince of Bel Air but worse, then lightning struck about a half mile away from where she was dancing and she screamed and ran back inside. Ditz.
So, we are now in Manchester, the most boring city in the world, sleeping on the floor of a church. The only mildly interestin thing that has happened so far in this place is that at the science museum (where I currently am) I was mistaken for an exibit 4 TIMES!!!! I was curled up on a bench in the part of the museum outlining the progress of Fabric and fashion and aparently I looked like an exibit. I finally woke up and scared the wits out of some poor girl who was trying to get a picture of me.
Well, crappy ass update and it'll probably make no sense to anyone but me, but oh well. This is MY journal and you can all kiss my ass!!!!
