Well, tonight is our last day in London ::sniffles:: we leave at 9 tomorrow morning for a 5 hour train ride to Buxton. Blah. The weather here has been really odd for the last couple of days though, it rains really hard for 5 minutes, drenching you to the skin, then it stops, the sun comes out and suddenly there's not a cloud in the sky!! England....
Well, last night was hell. Some kids on the floor below up set off the fire alarm REALLY late just as I had just gotten to sleep. You know how they set it off? Fucking aresol deodorent!! Really!! The entire building troops downstairs and one of the admins comes out and asks who's from room 404, and this group puts up theirs hands. The oficial then explains that it was them who set off the damn alarm and they had best apologise to everyone NOW. The ENTIRE buildings residents turn to glare at them, it was so funny seeing a group of people outside in their pajama's trying to stare down a group of kids, absolutely brilliant!!
Today was our free day though so we all went off shopping to Covent Gardens and Picadily circus. I got some really good stuff, OVER the knee socks, they come up to my thighs!! they don't sell those back home!! I got 4 pairs as it was 4 for £10. I got 2 union Jacks, One pair of black and red and RAINBOW SOCKS!!!!! I also got a sweet shirt that says "good girls go to heaven, bad girls go to London." Love it!!
We went to the hard rock cafe for lunch, very cool. GREAT food, oh my god!! The waiter was searving us non-virgin drinks though and our leaders didn't notice, so I bet anything Hordan has a hangover tomorrow. As we were leaving the cafe though we noticed two things: The Gay Pride Parade was on, and leading it were "Dykes on Bikes" Really funny to see, so many rainbows!!!
The other thing was that we took a PILE of helium balloons with us and were talking in the funky voices, but Laura couldn't get hers to work!! We all laughed at her sounding like chipmunks on speed, it was soo great!!
Another rather... odd thing happened while we were buying our tickets, we went to kings cross station and some old guy was trotting around in his underwear. And nothing else. Very scary as he was old and baggy and wrinkly and smelled like gym socks.
The last amusing memory for today happened on the train home. There weren't enough seats on the tube so Rose had to stand, and this 30 year old Indian guy next to her starts HITTING on her!!! He's talking about himself and he WON'T SHUT UP!!! Finally Rose starts shooting us there "save me!!" looks and we get her a seat so she has an excuse to get away from the creepy man.
That's all for today guys, I'm off to Buxton now to visit some old friends!! Oh, and EMAIL me dammit!! I miss real people!!
