See, I've been talking about getting wings tattoed on my entire back for years now but have never had enough money. I finally do now cause of the whole steady job. So I found a good studio, and a good artist and went down to get an estimante today on a few designs. One was the full wings across my back, another was a small celtic trinity knot and the third was a celtic tree of life knot.
So I get down there, and the plan was, ask about getting one of the smaller tattos fist, kindof figure out how bad it's gonna be, then get to the wings. Wasn't actually planning on doing any of it today, just estimates and working out scheduling and all that. So I ask, and she says "yeah, hang on a sec.... we can do it right now."
So I figured, what the hell, and I got the celtic Trinity Knot done in the hollow of my right hip. Only took about 20 minutes to do the whole thing, didn't hurt even close to as badly as I'd been afraid it was going to.... it was kinda like when you have a sprained muscle, or are recovering from a broken bone (both of which I have experienced far too many times). A deep ache, with a few spikes of sharper pain, but definitely a hell of alot better than I was afraid of. The guy who did it was actualy really good too. He took one look at the design I gave him and did it all from scratch, and then shaded it too!
So, here's the finished product:
It's not even really that sore... i really thought that this would be worse, very relieved it all worked out, so am now getting the wings done in a month.
