Alright, so I've been yelled at for not updating the blog. So here you go. Update.
Got the tattoo done on Saturday, arrived all nervous/scared witless only to sit around for an hour waiting for Glen, (Tattoo artist) to finish up with the women he was working on. Was then sent into the room where I basically had to ponce about topless while they taped a cover cloth, that kinda papery cloth stuff that they use as bibs at the dentist, to my front to afford me some modicum of privacy during this whole thing. They then sterilized everything, (including me), and set the design on my back with a kind of press on transfer of the sketch that Drew did. Very cool.
But not dignified at all, oh no, for in the corner was KT snickering and making snarky comments and basically doing a very good job of keeping me distracted to the fact that someone was slowly carving a design into my back.
Very happy with the end result though, the wings run from the very top of my shoulder to about 2 inches above my waist and cover my entire back. And damn did Glen do a good job, very happy to have found this guy. And I actually did end up telling the parents about the tattoo. I think they're mad but are trying not to blow up at me, nice to know that they didn't flip out though.
In other, non painful news, I'm going to the Sarah Slean concert tomorrow with Kat!! Cannot wait, she's aparently an amazing performer in concert and I've been told that this is going to be a really good show. I really want to hear the live version of "When another Midnight". Seriosly, that would just make my day.
Also might go to company christmas party this saturday. Is at the hilton and it's attractions are the promise of free food and an open bar, but have yet to temp some poor shmuck to come with me. Blarg. 20 drunk truckers in a nice hotel with free booze, this should be good.
