Okay, I thought that our drivers had reached the limit of phenominally stupid acts when one of them sheared off the top of his truck by going into an underpass that had a lower clearance than the height of his truck. Those clearance warnings are not a suggestion and the laws of physics are not going to change any time in the near future. So, Short Underpass + Tall Truck = No more top 6 inches of truck.
Dumbass.
I thought that they'd reached the limit of funny when one of our drivers was pulled out of his truck by the secret service for parking too close to the white house in downtown Washington. (White, unmarked truck in the downtown core: Not a good idea.)
They've outdone themselves.
One of our drivers was taking a load of freight down for the weekend, and parked in one of the overnight truck stops for a rest. Small problem, it seems he parked a little too close to the ditch. Can anyone see where I'm going with this? Needless to say, the truck is more than just a little damaged from taking a tumble down the ditch. Driver's okay, but aparently the truck is a write off, not good at all. Still funny as hell though.
