So, computer has died a rather innoble death, which is why I wasn't able to blog over the weekend, am very sad.
Come home on Friday night and turn on compy to check mail and engage in other time wasting activities, to find a virus slowly eating it's way through all my files. Luckily my computer model is one with a built-in help service and they were able to get rid of the virus, but I still lost alot. Last time I backed up my compy was over a month ago... Christmas I think. So anyone to whom I've given files (pictures, word files, etc) can you please send me a copy? Email is meredydd@rogers.com .
Aside from compy's horrible and untimely demise, it was actually a good weekend. Went to the play Paperbag Princess with the family on saturday at Stage West. Was.... very much a little kids show, and we looked very strange being a group of 7 adults in a room with 400 little kids and parents. Still really funny though, I was amazed at how many of the kids knew all the lines in the stories. I mean, I remember reading this when I was a kid, but I really didn't expect the books to still be so well known.
Also headed out to the movies to see Ghostrider. What a waste of money that was. I thought to myself when I first saw the trailers that it looked.... kinda cheesy. And it could go one of 2 ways: Really really good: or horrifyingly bad. Unfortunately the second option was definitely the dominate one.
The lines were bad, the lead character acted like a complete and utter moron, the lines were horrible, the female lead had no personality beyond being a spokesperson for plastic surgery and the lines! Did I mention the lines? I have never in my life heard such cheesy and predictable writing! Only thing I can say to the positive for it was the graphics were impecable and the character designs were effective. Not enough to overshadow Nicholas Cage's bad acting, but still.
