Okay, remember a few months ago when i did a huge rant on all the reasons I love summer? Well, i decided to make this a seasonal thing, especially with halloween being tomorrow.
I love seeing all the little kids running around on halloween, dressed as their heros and comparing their bounty of candy
I love seeing the adults tagging along behind them dressed just as silly and given the chance to act like a kid for awhile again
I love the crisp days when you have to wear a coat but it's not too cold to have some fun
I love the trees changing colours, the countryside looking as if it's on fire with bright orange, yellows and reds
I love the first frost that makes the entire country side look as it's been dusted with icing sugar and diamonds
I love watching my dog chase the leaves on the ground as we try to rake them up or blow them away.
I love that crunchy noise that the leaves make under your feet as you walk along them.
I love walking through the forest by my house and watching as the falling leaves leave a carpet of colour on the ground
I love trying to figure out what to get for my little sister and my older brother for their birthdays
I love going back to visit old friends at school, and seeing people that i didn't even know i would miss
I love signing everyone's yearbooks and seeing what they write about me
I love sitting outside of Hart House and sketching
I love the SMELL of fall, I can't descrbe it but the season does have it's own smell.
I love smell of pumpkin pie in the house and the decorations
I love carving Jack'o'lanterns. Throwing the muck at my little sis and giggling at the horrible faces we carved
I love roasted pumpkin seeds fresh out of the oven
I love fall fairs and horse shows in my home town
I love the smell of sandlewood incense burning in my room
I love having a big mug of tea in my hands to warm up my fingers on a cold morning
I love wearing big oversized swearers where the sleeves fall down past my fingers
I love watching the rainstorms from high up in my apartment building
I love walking the streets back home when it's dark and you can see the small lights hidden in Jack'o'lanterns and trees that give everything an otherworldly glow
I love drives through the countryside at dawn and dusk when mist and fog makes the land look like something out of a fairytale
I love putting up all the christmas lights and laughing as we make as many mistakes as progress
