    ..:Conventions and Comics and Movies, Fuck Yeah!:..

    OK, first off: am likely going to skip out on Anime North this year. I know, I know, breaking a decade of tradition. But honestly? The only real reason to go to the con is the dealers room and artist alley, and with the 55 bucks you pay to get in, not really feeling the need to go anymore. It's more like the Y-TV con now anyway, very upset.

    On the other hand, am going to attend Toronto Trek again this year. Why? Because the guest stars are Cliff fucking Simon (Ba'al from Stargate) and Gareth David-Lloyd (Ianto from Torchwood) Also, the con, despite being over 20 years old, still has the feeling of an actual old fashioned con and not a sell-out con like North.

    Other good news though, the next 4 years? Are gonna be freaking awesome for movies:

    Also? They've announced the Silver Surfer and the Venom movies, but haven't given out a release date yet.

    But still, we're getting pretty much 4 or 5 kickass movies a year, I love that geekdom is mainstream now, this is fucking awsome
