    Okay, so friday night was spent, for the most part, in pursuit of mad frosh. I was helping a friend who's a frosh leader. Never EVER again. Never. Frosh are stupid little children who, for the most part, suddenly are trying to bully their way into behaving like adult simply by sheer stubborness.

    BAH!!

    Saturday was the wedding, Chris and Yana got married way out in the middle of BF nowhere so they could have an outdoor wedding on horseback. Again, BAH. Was a really nice place though, their bartender had cancelled on them to got to the Cheech and Chong show, so I got called in to cover her. I spent a good majority of the night digging through ice barrels for beers, and do you know how damn cold it was out there on Saturday night? I was in 2 jackets and making regular fire runs by the end of the night to warm up.

    There were a few really fun moments though. Like literally lining shot glasses up on the table and pouring, because Vodka shots were in such high demand. Watching the wedding party attempt to dance. Wow, that was blackmail material if I've ever seen it... Then there was the explosion. At one point, they set up a few empy drum barrels to do a big bonfire in, problem is that they really PACKED the damn things with paper and wood and I think some gasoline, so when they lit it... there was a big explosion and an ACTUAL CONCUSSIVE WAVE that hit everyone, never felt anything like it, my ears were ringing for a bit too....

    Also, went into Orangeville to pick up some more Champagne (just for the head table) Ran into Aimee at the Beer Store. Grabbed gas and Michelle was the clerk. Went to the LCBO and Melissa was shopping in there and Alicia was one of the clerks. I have become fully convinced that Orangeville is a black hole of a town. From which no young adult, who doesn't immediately flee after high school, will ever actually escape. Creepy.

    The wedding was more than worth it though, mad a few hundred, immediately went comic shopping the next morning with Tiff...

    It was a good weekend.

    Oh! And for those who asked, will be posting photo's of the new hair do later tonight.

    ..:Good damn day:..

    Today, I did nothing terribly fun.

    But, I had a good nights sleep and a nice breakfast. Work was slow, so I re-read Neverwhere online when I wasn't working. I have a new haircut, and am headed out for drinks with an old friend tonight.

    Tomorrow, will be mad and crazy as I have to work and go to a wedding and pull a bartending shift, but for right now? I feel great, new hair, old friends, and discovering that an old favourite book is even better than I remember.

    Here's hoping the good mood leaks into the weekend.

    ..:Sick, oh so very sick:..

    Mere is sick yet again (suprise suprise). Colds I can deal with, you just stock up on cough sweets and kleenex. Even the flu I can deal with, cause I know it will run it's course and I can just lie down till I feel better.

    But there's nothing I hate more than waking up sick first thing in the morning and not even being able to get up because I'm so damn dizzy.

    Took yesterday off of work, am back today, even though the world is till fairly spinny and I'm still avoiding any kind of solid food.

    Blah.

    Good news however, Gracie is in town, which means my hair can go back to being a violent shade of purple again. Happy about that.

    Also? Anyone want to get me a kickass present one of these days? Get me one of these.

    Our apartment currently has no power, had to dress in the dark this morning and ended up with my hair sticking up all over the place, thank god for hair clips, otherwise I'd look like cousin it from the adams family.

    Have been running over a bunch of things in my head recently, what I'm going to be doing over the next few years and what I want to do with myself. I love my apartment, but there's a good chance I'll be leaving it in the next year or so. Jenn is almost definitely buying the property for her farm, and will be leaving as soon as she has a livable space built on property. Tiff and KT are both talking about staying in toronto or heading off to finish up degrees or shows, so everything is kind of up in the air at the moment.

    I'm considering just screwing it all, taking a chance and moving to Wales. My mum and dad are both leaving this year, and the rest of the family is always so frantically busy that I never see them anyway, so I started looking into taking a few general ed courses and a small business course and looking into working in a library or a bookshop over there.

    If I end up going over to the UK with KT in October, will definitely be looking about for what might be availible over there.

    Am also looking into possibly moving over to BC if I want to stay in the country, will still be able to go to a good uni for library sciences, stay in Canada and live in a beautiful place, but I'd have to wait until after the 2010 olympics as land out there is currently insanely expensive. Blah.

    I just don't want to stay stuck in ontario for the rest of my life, I genuinely don't like it here, but I have no freaking clue what to do.

    Guess I'll just have to see what the next year brings

    Okay, so, a few things this time. First off, all classes and work and such was cancelled yesteday due to the freaking mess of a storm that hit the GTA, pic below for KT to laugh and mock at:


    Next! Got my hair done (finally) is bright purple and really dark brown, it's hilarious, the first time I showered it looked like we'd filled the tub with grape popsicles the water was so damn purple! Pics of that also below:



    I love gracie (my hairstylist) because she is made of awesome. In other news.... well, there pretty much is none, everthing going well with Alex. He has not yet caught onto the fact that I am batshit mental, although he already has a healthy fear of my family (Jenn's been telling stories). This should be fun.....

    ..:Guys, Gracie and Geekines:..

    So, am seeing a guy again. Has actually lasted more than 3 dates, am V impressed. Even survived Jenn asking him what his intentions were and what prospects he has. Also, he seems to have a it of sense as instead of bringing me flowers, he brought me the BSG movie Razor. Sweet.

    Class is hell, welsh is slowly sucking my soul. Am headed out tomorrow to get my hair cut and dyed while Gracie is in town. Brother and his girl Mon are looking to move downtown, so I might actually see my family more than once a month (if that some months). Beej is all a-squee as she and her friends have gotten a house that they're moving into after the school year finishes up, am quite pleased with this and cannot wait to meet these friends of hers and embarrass her horribly as she does to me every time she talks to my friends. (It's practically a family tradition at this point)

    In other, much more geeky, news: The next season of Dr. Who is starting up on my birthday, damn that's a good present, thank you BBC!!

    ..:New things:..

    So the weekend was interesting. Got to my brothers house on Fri when my phone rang, it was the roomie. Calling to inform me that my cat was an idiot and had somehow ripped open his own paw. The little twit is OK, but he keeps gnawing on his own leg in frustrations as it is all bandaged up and silly looking.

    Got my hair cut, it is now all cool looking and less floofy. I love Grace (the woman who does my hair) for she is a goddess. Picutres of new cut if I ever get up off my ass and do it. So pretty much never.

    The roomate is gone now, off to the East Coast for the next 2 weeks. So people: Visit me. For the love of god. I'm bored and lonely. Oh, and for Tiff Doug Jones Blog

    ..:Harry Potter:..

    So, went to see Harry Potter last night with Tiff and a few of her girls. Was OK, not the best movie I've ever seen (like Tiff was saying) but it was good. They cut ALOT of things in the edit, which I can understand, seeing as it was the biggest book in the series, but lets hope that none of the stuff they cut becomes important later....

    Went back to Tiffs, where she plied me with food and, strangely enough, the published work of a fanfic author I rather like(legitimately, through a publishing company and everything).

    Drove home, almost hit a deer and a cat, so pretty typical for me. Seriously, my car has a homing beacon for animals or something.

    This weekend is the combined hair-cut/dye, sort out designs for the cosplay and sort out final course schedule for next year. Fun.

    Oh, and to those going to NY with me for the Faire, the 2 weekends I think we are all availible is August 3rd or the August 10th weekend. So we need to pick one and stop procrastinating. And yes I include myself in the we, I am the most inept person at planning these things EVER.
