Rather dull week. Work is frustrating (as usual), I'm still sick (again, as usual). Spent all of friday and a good chunk of Sunday on mad hair dying. Tiff is now Dark purple (have no idea how that's gonna work out with Satrbucks) KT's accidentaly turned blood red and pumpkin orange, and my own head, after a good dose of bleach beforehand, is once more a single colour from roots to tips.
Watched movies alot, Dark knight again, the host (which is awesome) Cloverfield, (Which actually had Jenn curled up in a little ball on the couch, latched onto Jenn White and wimpering throughout the movie)
Other than that, spent a good chunk of the weekend sleeping and trying to regain some sense of balance that my illness seems to have robbed me of.
Am picking Beej up tonight, having a bit of a mini-fest of comic books and sugar, just like the good ol' days.
Good memory? Walking home last night from Spadina station, through Howland Avenue at it's best, with everything fully green and blooming and beautiful. Seeing an old friend from class walking her dog and getting covered in hugs from both.
I have a "to read" pile of about 60 or 70 books and nothing but time.
So, in just under a week KT will be back, Yay! I have missed my fangirling brethren and the horrible horrible spaz attacks that come after "who nights".
The Casa Loma ren faire is this weekend, Polaris and the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibit are next weekend, and the Sterling Ren Faire is the weekend after that.
Between it all we have Hellboy and the Dark Night, housewarmings amd family holidays, and a few weeks of doing nothing at work to fill up the days.
I have a feeling this is gonna be a really good summer.
So, am currently sitting in a very swanky B&B in the middle of Prince Edward County, came out with Jenn for a ceremony for her mum. So far today:
-Watched Salmon swim upstream, so close you could practically count the scales -Went walking and skipped stones on the beach - Jenn showed us all the little spots about the lake, saw a heron hunting and chased about a bunch of little sand-piper chicks -Fended off Jenn's Uncle Phil, who likes to hug -Got burned to a crisp - Seriously, outside for an hour and all exposed skin is now a nice shade of lobster -Drove an hour for ice cream - Jenn didn't know EXACTLY where the store was, so we ended up driving in the general direction till something looked familiar, then pulling a U-turn and nearly breaking our necks when we drove past it by accident -Had the Ceremony - Very lovely, beautiful day and a beautiful area to be put to rest -Came back for dinner - REALLY good food, and rhubarb crumble that did not have strawberries in it so I could actually eat it this time -Crashed - and now it is time to sleep as we have to get up at the asscrack o dawn to drive home
