..:Pictures and Posting insanity (I am so sorry, I am vaugely drunk.):..

OK, as my internet has temporarily been ressurected, I'm gonna blog this while I can. First order of business: Pics from tiffs party:

Me in the hat I made out of the top hat and a multitude of gears, beads and chips of ceramic:

    The full outfit:

    Tiff's full outfit:

Tiff unable to hold in her inner self any longer after a night of being reasonably well behaved:

Though you cannot see it, this is Laura, owner of the massive Clamp style sleeves o doom!

Tiff's roomie emma (one of the most honestly cute people I have ever met!)

Spent Thanksgiving unearthing the 15 foot mutant cranberry bushes out back of the house and discovering that my sister in law's aunt, is one of Tiff's parents best friends.

Very strange reminder of six degrees of seperation. Life is... well, life at the moment. Some good stuff, some bad.

And now, because I am vaugly buzzed and Bryanna is a bad influence: I present to you the tale of KT the Who. Seuss style:

In the far away land of Woollamaloo,
There lived a young creature named KT the Who.
Not the Who like the Doctor,
    she's just not that cool.
    Despite her being the professor,
    for the big learning school.

There was much to be taught,
    by Prof. KT the Who.
    Like slash and the internets,
    and pretty boys too.

She taught them young and old,
they came from far and wide.
    But the ever calm KT,
Took it all in her stride.

    Oh who am I kidding?
    She nearly blew her top!
    She ranted and raved,
    and grumbled non-stop.

    "These students" She said,
    "They're driving me Mad!!
    I had no bloody idea,
that the world was this bad!"

    Thus Prof. KT the Who
Turned back to the Mounties and cold.
    And thus ends her tale,
    or so we are told.

Honestly, I have NO IDEA where this came from. Me and Beej were sitting around drinking beer and hot chocolate and THIS is the result.

    I am so, so sorry.

And KT? You don't live in a real place. Canada has Fraser and poutine. We win.

    ..:Thanksgiving and Thinking:..

Am back from the Cottage. Was V. fun. Although very very crowded. Me, Beej, Mum, Dad, Drw, Kat, Owen AND Mon all under one roof. Plus the dog and my two monsters. Yeah, crowded.

It was good though, we haven't had the whole family (including Kat and Mon) together for any good amount of time in quite a while. It was really really funny to see how we all kinda compare with how we live. All of us brought notebook computers up with us, Mum, Dad and Kat for doing work and school stuff, Drew for watching things, Owen just got his as a present and I brought mine to clean it up while I had a bit of free time. We also all brought a bunch of comics, which all got swapped and traded and passed about a bit as all good books should.

Went down to the lake as well, it currently has a species of fish in it that's... really not supposed to be there. It's a type of mudskipper, butt ugly and I have a feeling really bad for the lake...

Saw Dana (one of my dads good friends from the Emirates.) Mocked alot and had a bit too much to drink (as always). Spent 3 hours driving home on monday, wasn't too bad, damn hot though, especially with 3 people, lots of luggage as well as 2 unfortunate cats.

Got home, was unpacking the car and immediately got invited to Jenn and Bills' thanksgiving dinner. Mmmmmm, roast lamb.... As it stands now I've had 3 thanksgiving dinners and have enough leftovers to choke a horse. And there is Pie, oh gods is there Pie.

I love the fall, pumpkin flavoured everything and halloween and carving pumpkins and good food. Driving through the country when the whole world looks like it's on fire, and just enough cold for it to nip and for me to wear coats without it being too bad. Being able to wander toronto in full ren-gear and demon contacts and not have the mundies give me a second glance... I love the fall...

Am going crazy at work recently, Brandi, the data-entry person, has been off sick for 5 days in a row noe. Not good. And one of the people in the office has spent most of today in a massive shouting match with a driver, amusing, but also not terribly fun.

Have had alot of time to think recently, and am seriously considering a few options with the whole housing.... thing. If Jenn moves out in December and Tiff can't move in, and I can't find a roomate I think I'll move in with Drew and Kat, they have the room and it's a good distance from work, and rent would go down. If Tiff does move in I think I'll quit, try and pick up a job in the city, and look into taking some evening and summer courses over the next little while.

Either of these are pretty temorary though, still thinking I want to move out to Vancouver after the 2010 Olympics and try to go to UBC out there. I dunno, thoughts anyone?

This weekend looks to be rather mad, parties and the Zombie walk and shopping, sweet! Have also decided that Meredith WILL get in shape even if it kills her (which it might really). I am so sick of being tubby it's not funny and now thanksgiving is over so I REALLY have no damn excuse in the world.

So tonight, it's back to the weights and the cycling, at least now that I have my I-phone I can watch TV and stuff while I'm doing it.

Ah, all the line just lit up on the phone, time to get back to work.

    ..:Music and Masquerades:..

Okay, so, events that have happened since the last massive rant. KT got back into town, met up with her on Sunday morning along with Tiff and a few of the other Vic girls for the traditional breakfast at Mels. Wandered down to the Word on the Street festival for a few hours, as well as the vic book sale (and before anyone comments, I only spent $20. So Silence). Get home and pretty much just bummed about all day, watched a few shows and movies, then tumbled over to Futures. And there was cheescake, oh god was there cheesecake.

See, Tiff is officially another year older as of saturday, (I shall be heading out this weekend to buy her the 'Shoes of Awesome.' A pair of frighteningly expensive fluevogs in other words, because this is Tiff. The girl who, when her dad offered to get her a new computer for her birthday as her old one could double as a rather effective club if one so desired, instead got him to buy her $400 Gwen Stefani purple snakeskin boots. And no, that was not a typo. Purple. Snakeskin.)

    ::Shudders::

KT headed back to Oz today. V. Sad, unfortunately didn't get to see her off yesterday as I pretty much went home, sat down on my bed to read a few things, and woke up all confused at 11:30 that night with Jenn already asleep and the normally placid cat chewing on my nose. Oh, and cold. The apartment is normally a bit stuffy so we leave most of the windows and such open, but last night? Was bloody well FREEZING. Ended up piled under blankets with a cat to each side, weirdly comforting feeling that. Anyone who's ever been to my apartment has heard a comment or 2 about how I don't actually sleep: I burrow. I tend to throw as many damn blankets as I can stand on the bed and wake up in a nice warm cocoon, only downside to all this is that it makes it damn hard to get out of bed in the morning.

So to KT: Wherever you are: go snog Geoff for me (you know you wanna!)

Halloween and Thanksgiving and all those fun type things are coming up this month. Thanksgiving is, as usual, being spent up at the cottage with the family, eating far too much and trying to keep the pets from killing each other out of sheer frustration. God I love thanksgiving.

Halloween is something else however: Not sure what I'm going to do as I can't afford the Little Red Riding hood costume, and I doubt Tiff has the time to even make it anymore at this point. Too bad, it would have been awesome. So I guess I'll try to go out with a few friends, maybe hit a club or two, probably wearing the devil contacts and doing a painted masquerade. (as in: piecing togerther costume from ren gear and painting on a masquerade mask by hand out of eyeliner and circus face paints if I can grab them from Tiff to practice). We'll have to see.

I really want to try and organize a full masquerade ball at some point though... maybe swing the idea to Kat, see if she has any suggestions... But yeah, I have some wicked ideas for a few masquerade masks and such that I want to try and build over the next few months... (which, in reality, means that I'll buy a whole bunch of supplies, spend a few weeks on one, then get frustrated and end up feeding it to the cats).

Also: I have had an epiphany. I've been sorting out all my music recently to try and figure out what I want on my Ipod and building playlists and sorting through files I haven't heard in YEARS. One of the artists I was sorting through was Bowie.

    A few observations:
    - The Man had the most silly haircut in the world, it's still infamous
    - He croons
    - Guyliner
    - He wore skinny jeans, and still does
    - Most of his songs are either about heartbreak or about... well... stringing together whatever random crap rhymes really

Conclusion: Bowie was the origional Emo-boy (just with more glitter)

*ducks to avoid the mass of projectiles thrown by friends and family who love Bowie*

    Eeep.

And now it is 2pm, and I have been typing this entry for the last 6 hours in between customs, customers and filing. I think I'm gonna go actually work now....
