Had a wonderful mothers day out with the family. Unfortunately Mon couldn't make it, but got to spend a good day with my parents, they were both in the country at the same time!! That hasn't happened in over a month! I really missed my dad while he's been away this past month and a bit, then he opened his mouth and started talking and I kinda wished that he would leave the country again.
I made my mum a set of earrings and was GOING to plant the garden for her as a present, but so far the weather refuses to behave and has been hiccuping back and forth between freezing cold and rainy, and toasty warm and sunny, but never either of them for more than a few hours at a time making it impossible to get anything really done.
I know I always call my little sis a crafty bastard, but lately she's taken it... somewhat literally... These are more of Beej's little knitted fandom guys, she's drifted away from Star Trek for now and started on the marvel verse:
Captain America
Iron Man
Thor
The Avengers (or at least a few of them)
They are so ridiculously cute and I really really wanna keep them all. Imagine a little army of knitted superheroes!! So cute!
Jenn's bitty baby horse was also born on mothers day, this is Rahiel:
Unfortunately a few hours after this had been taken she got really sick and collicky and had to be taken to the vet and operated on, poor little mite. She's doing better now and Jenn can hopefully take her home soon to be spoiled to within an inch of her life. That poor girl just cannot catch a break recently, so I'm praying that this all works out well!
Just finished watching the last episode of Supernatural Season five. I'll say what I say pretty much every year about this time: Kripke? You are a brilliant, brilliant man, but good GODS you're a bastard!! Now it's off to see Robin Hood with Dana and then off to work tonight, ho hum.
So, was sitting in my car today, discussing Supernatural and such with the little sis. And I asked the question. You know, THE question: How the hell is Kripke going to top doing the freaking APOCALYPSE this past season.
Bryanna, being the brilliant sibling that she is, has been the first person with a satifactory answer. For no sooner had I asked this than she come back with "Carebears." The Winchesters VS the Carebears. THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!!! Or, you know, me.
This past weekend was Tiff the Majestics birthday party. Steampunked ourselves out, then went out for food. Found the orgasm cake from the matrix, it was SO damn good. Then headed off to futures for tea and company. Good night.
Computer has died yet again, am currently using the baby sis's compy back in caledon as I complete some work around the house for the parents. Oh joy. Oh Rapture. Housework. I don't even LIVE here anymore and I'm doing chores.
Okay, so, rather interesting day so far. Had a good chunk of the morning off for appointments and the like, so I got to have a bit of a lie-in for once.
Then I get to work and find the orders on my desk for entry. Not a bad pile, but it took a while to work through. Then I get to one of the last orders in the stack. Regular freight, just supplies for offices or something, then I see the del point.
Folsom County Prison, in Folsom CA.
*snickers*
Sorry, had to be said. Even if only the supernatural fangirls will get the reference.
Also, it the tune of the power of the fans. Does everyone know the story of Jericho? It was on CBS and got cancelled in the renewal race for the fall. And the fans went nuts. Literally. Fans of the show launched a campaign to show CBS that they were being 'tards by shipping thousands of pounds of nuts to the studio. And it worked. CBS just announced that they're considering brining the show back to finish out the story line instead of leaving the ending as a cliffhanger (which was just MEAN.)
